Rademacher Portraiture The Process Our style reflects our love of museum quality painted portraits. We light portraits as the great artists did centuries ago. The depth and luminosity in our portraiture is normally achieved intirely by hand. A photographic print becomes our raw material, it becomes our canvas, so to speak. Layer after layer of artist pencils build highlights within highlights, dark acrylic inks applied with and airbrush eliminates anything distracting, dyes applied with a fine kolinsky sable brush even any variations in skin tone. All decisions are guided by the thought of how we might improve the image. Upon artwork completion and client approval the emulsion containing the image is separated from the paper print backing and bonded to artist canvas and high gloss laquered to a superb finish creating a work of art like no other. |
